Fuzzy Elephant Studio is a creative space for music and post production in the centre of Manchester, based in Bonded Warehouse on the site of Versa Studios and Aviva Studios Factory International.

Run by Joe Reiser and Lee Aston, the studio draws on years of experience in recording, livesound, touring, and production management. Their work includes collaborations with Warner Classics, XXIM Records (Sony), Blue Note, and artists such as GoGo Penguin, Abel Selaocoe, Manchester Collective, among others.

Built with mixing and creating in mind, the space features Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 monitoring, a large format analogue mixing console, 64 channels of AD/DA conversion, and a large open-plan recording and mixing space.

A large selection of microphones to suit any project are available to use in our acoustically controlled space or out on location in addition to an array of outboard for any sonic colour palette.

Accurate and immersive monitoring from Quested, Avantone, and Kali Audio are controlled and calibrated by world-class interfaces and AD/DA Converters from Metric Halo.

Flexible workflows are the focus of our hybrid recording studio. Utillising our 64ch AD/DA conversion capacity is a 48 Input console with 24 Busses, 8 matrices, and stereo and mono mix busses. This flexibility allows us to achieve full analogue mixdown with simultaneous Dolby Atmos.

Separate main DAW and Dolby Atmos renderer computers connected over Madi with up to 128 channels at 48k or 64 channels at 96k.

A range of DAWs are installed and maintained for use in the studio including Reaper, Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Pro Tools.

Additional software and plugins include Izotope RX, UAD Plugins, Liquid Sonics, Valhalla DSP, Perfect Surround, Oeksound, HOFA, Fab Filter, Celemony, and Exponential Audio.
